Chloé Braithwaite is an Aussie freelance writer based in the south of France

Chloé grew up in Sydney, Australia with a very multicultural family. With one side hailing from Malaysia, the other from Sicily and the Aussie countryside (a.k.a. "the bush"), she was naturally passionate about the world outside of her hometown.

She studied neuroscience and psychology at university before branching out into content marketing and feature writing. In 2016, she moved to Paris where she was the deputy editor of a beauty magazine for L’Oréal, managing 14 different language editions (and the teams of writers and translators to produce it!). However, missing the sea and the sun, she moved south to the French Riviera in 2019, where she fell into the yachting industry.

She began at Camper & Nicholsons, the oldest yacht brokerage in the world, then moved over to Northrop & Johnson, where she travelled around the world producing content for their website and social media channels.

Today, she is the Travel Editor of TIDE Magazine, and freelances full-time, creating travel, food and lifestyle content for National Geographic, the BBC, Epicurious, The Independent, Lonely Planet, and more.

Chloé specialises in content strategy and on-page SEO, and is especially interested in content design and user experience thanks to her background in psychology.

Outside of the office, you can find Chloé travelling around Europe, where she has perfected the art of the weekend getaway, or at home in her tiny French kitchen, recreating recipes from her childhood. She also interviews her writerly friends for her Medium publication, l'Atelier Créatif.

Say hi!
